History
Founded in 2001, our clan began as dR (dark Rangers) in the Quake 3 powered FPS game Star Trek: Voyager: Elite Force. Born of a splinter-section of the community that played in a modified low gravity environment, dR was instrumental in the founding of the Low Grav League that offered a home to others who preferred to play in the same modified environment. Like many others who played Elite Force, dR's members had high hopes for the sequel Star Trek: Elite Force II produced in 2003. However, the games multiplayer failed to live up to the expectations of much of the original games players.
Not long after the failure of Elite Force 2, dR moved on to RTCW Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. Though the game had been planned as an expansion pack to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the multiplayer segment was released free due to issues with the single player. Based in the World War II era, the game originated both the Enemy Territory name as a franchise unto itself, and the objective-based style of play that has become so popular.
By 2007, dR had moved on once again, this time to ETs sequel, ETQW Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Though it's membership has continued to change, the independant and sometimes rebellious spirit of dR lives on. Though many of it's original members are no longer active, this clan will always be their home. In 2008, our clan began a new era by renaming to s3 which stands for Soldiers Elite. In March 2009, we once again moved to our latest game, Battefield: Bad Company 2.
